Safety films, the RS series

Did you know that a single square decimetre of glass can produce up to 200 potentially deadly, razor-sharp fragments? Glass can break for a myriad of reasons. Just think of the most common; wind, hail, vibration, torsion, fatigue, seismic stress, impact of a person or thing on the glass, thermal shock, explosion, vandalism or simply the presence of manufacturing defects.

What are safety films?

Safety films solve this problem. Made of several layers of polyester, they prevent the glass from splintering in the event of breakage, thus preventing it from dispersing into the environment and causing damage and even serious injury to people and property. They therefore provide protection for many small variables in our daily lives, whether private or professional!

Safety films from Madico, a US-based company with a 100-year history in the industry, are the most proven line of defence against the risk of breakage from impact and natural events. These films are ideal for home and business owners in areas prone to severe weather conditions such as hurricanes, tornadoes and other severe storms, keeping their families, customers and property safe from glass-related injuries.

A transparent security and protection film provides 24-hour passive protection against the most common threats. Windows and glass doors are the most vulnerable entry points into a commercial property. With the application of security and protection film you can be sure that expensive equipment is safe and employees are secure.

How reflective sun protection films work

Reflective films are anti-solar products used to improve the thermal insulation of glazing.

The materials used to manufacture them ensure filtering and screening from the sun's rays, prevent heat from entering the rooms illuminated by our windows, improve the energy performance of our buildings, reduce heat, glare, glare, but also energy consumption. Using the right film can reduce the internal temperatures of buildings by up to 7/8°C. This will obviously lead to a significant decrease in summer air conditioning costs and a much lower environmental impact.

Mirror films are used to reflect sunlight to try to prevent the heat component from entering the glass surface.

The RS series

If you want to combine safety protection with the comfort of being able to live in your rooms without overheating and deterioration of the objects inside, the RS series of safety films are just what you need.

Why should I install an anti-solar safety film?

Because it allows the "securing" of any glazed surface that is compulsory at workplaces in accordance with the Consolidation Act D.lgs. 81/2008.

Because it offers constant safety protection in the event of glass breakage.

Because they reflect solar energy (heat), produced by the sun's rays incident on the glazing, they significantly reduce the use of air conditioning units, drastically cutting summer air conditioning costs. They provide a safer, cooler and more comfortable working environment, equalise the internal temperature, reduce glare and screen out over 99% of harmful UV rays.

Because it guarantees perfect transparency, the view will be perfectly crystal clear with no optical distortion.
